# /var/lib/docker/overlay2 disk usage Very High

I have a new forum, which currently has around 60 users, and currently only about 3 topics. (I only invited users today). We hope to have around 3000 users.
I have a 40GB VPS currently, which can be expanded, but `/var/lib/docker/overlay2` is around 15.1GB in size and seems to have increased by a few GB just today which doesn’t seem normal.
Wondering if it due to having run `./launcher rebuild app` earlier to fix the issue with the profile pictures.
Is their a way to clear these down, I presume they are docker volumes that got duplicated when running the rebuild.

We recently added retina image thumbnails in 2.2 which will increase the disk space usage a fair bit particularly on forums that post a lot of images.

That shouldn’t have caused a 3GB rise in a day though should it when there has only been 3 topics and 6 replies?
Could it have been the rebuild?
ncdu shows the below for ` /var/lib/docker/overlay2`
