# Version info not available on hosted sites

I’ve noticed that the version information is apparently suppressed on hosted sites. I get that this is because I don’t have to worry about upgrading (hooray!), so the link is irrelevant, but it’s still useful to know what version is running as it can have a bearing on certain features and/or configurations, and thus how the forum is used and administered. (Like Discobot!)

If you right click and view source it will give the version id in the header normally about 10 lines down or so it will same meta name = generator and then the version
