View-counts and Jekyll comments

#1

I’ve added Discourse comments to my Jekyll site. Everything seems to be working great!

I did have one question though about how views contribute to the view count in Discourse: i.e., if I have Discourse comments on each post I make on my site, can the Views column in Discourse be considered a (highball) measure of the actual page views of a particular post?

I think yes, but I would go with google analytics here.

Thanks! I do have Google Analytics set up; was curious as to what Discourse actually measures from the comments on a static page. That’s good to know.

Thanks for letting me know! I checked my setup via the how-to and everything appears to be in line.

Do you know if running Discourse through CloudFlare would affect authentication?

Should be working now. If you don’t mind, could you confirm on your end?

If helps someone, I had an incomplete redirect on the URL (perhaps it changed?) and then needed to set an email address.

Thanks again!
