# Warning when whispering on an old topic

Hey there.

There was some chatter about an old thread on our Community and I noticed that when I wanted to whisper to a colleague I got a warning about how old the thread is.

Since whispers are only used by staff and don’t bump a thread, it would make sense to me this warning is suppressed when I’ve elected to write a whisper
