# Watching first post notification for users

Scenario 1: A user makes _really_ good topics and I want to be alerted to new ones they post (e.g. we have a math wiz on our forum who makes really informative tutorials)
Scenario 2: A problematic user needs ~50% of his topics locked. Gave them another chance, but need to be alerted to new topics they make so we can keep an eye on them.
It’d be great if we could subscribe to new topics (watching first post) per-user in addition to per-category, similarly to how we can mute notifications per-user.
