# Watching first post notification on new topic template

I am looking for a way to edit the email template for when a new topic is created and your user is ‘watching first post’.

searching on here shows that

- **User Posted**  
Sent to a user when someone replies to a topic they are watching.

should be the template to edit for when a new topic is created as well, though I have found this to not be the case.

I have edited the subject line in **user replied** to look like this:

I have copied this attempt for the **user posted** template, but when a new post is made the subject line appears as:
