@LaptechInfo That’s the reason. I originally started working with text, but the ability to create/display options in Discourse is limited. You have a lot of tools online where you can easily make an image with text.

The watermark is applied client-side before the image is uploaded server-side, so the TC has no control on the final image quality. I believe yo have the following site setting to control it:

Interesting :thinking:. The component applies the watermark client-side in the background (Web Worker), so I would assume something is happening in this context. I’m unsure what, though.

Does the image preview with your watermark image in the theme settings work without errors?

On Discourse 3.4.2 image watermark works, but QR Code or text are not added, tried multiple files, hard refresh etc. Anyone else with same issue?

My settings:

Thanks for the report. Let me check again to see if I missed something.

@jrgong One of the issues I noticed is related to the color. The CSS variable in Discourse now uses shorthand color (e.g., #fff instead of #ffffff), but the lib wants the full format.
So in Watermark qrcode color and Watermark qrcode background color, use the full format:

This component will cause GIFs to fail to upload. If this option is enabled, uploaded GIFs will automatically be converted to PNG format.

Can you not use GIFS and this watermark theme component at the same time?
