# WebFinger support for particular topics

We have a Discourse topic published on Discourse:

With many fediverse apps, if I’d like to boost this topic from my Mastodon account, I can just paste the URL for the thing I want to boost (a post, a video on peertube, etc), press enter, and the thing appears in my Mastodon search results and I can boost it.

But it doesn’t work that way for topics from Discourse with AP plugin enabled. The only way for the post to appear in my Mastodon UI is to follow the category actor and wait for it to boost the topic.

Is there a workaround for this, or is it currently a limitation of the plugin? If some programming work is needed to make it work with search like this, I’d gladly help!
