Weird markdown bug when using inline links with title

(Aahan Krish) #1

Example:

Welcome to Aahan's [discussion forum](https://discourse.aahan.me/), the one place for discussing the articles posted to [his blog](http://aahan.me/ "Aahan's Blog") (and more in the future).

Parses as:

Welcome to Aahan’s discussion forum, the one place for discussing the articles posted to his blog (and more in the future).

Bad, right?

Hmm, interesting edge case, here’s the minimal repro:

[link1](http://example.com) this text should appear [link2](http://example.com "example") and this text also

produces

link1 this text should appear link2 and this text also

It has to do with two links on the same line, with the second link including title text.

Workaround:

  1. Make both links include title text
  2. Drop title text from 2nd link
  3. Do not put both links on the same line

Edit: this is now fixed.
