# What does the + icon in notifications mean?

In my notifications here on Meta, I get a notification with the + icon. What does it mean? Clicking on it leads me to a topic with 2 new replies and a close topic action ([this topic](https://meta.discourse.org/t/allow-regular-users-to-mute-staff-more-details-inside/342463)). However, I am Tracking the topic, but have never posted.  
Does it mean that there is new activity in the topic that isn’t mine, but is Tracking? How come then it sends a notification, as well as a count under Unread (I think?).

I guess you have voted for that topic, and when the topic was closed, your vote was returned so you can vote for another topic.

That makes sense. The funny thing is, I got 2 of those pointing to the same topic.

I think the topic was closed, moved to another category, and closed again. Maybe one of those actions triggered the second notification.
