# What happens to contributions when someone leaves a group?

We have private groups and associated private categories. Sometimes a person might leave a private group, although remain a forum member. What happens to their topics and posts within the private group that they can no longer see?

The topics and posts created by the user will still be there in the private category but they won’t have access to them as they are not part of the group.
