What does “Bumping Topics” do? [image]

The system automatically posts in a topic, which brings it up to the top of the “latest” list. It can be useful for re-surfacing old topics which have not been “solved” yet.

You can also make a post and then delete it, for what is colloquially known as the “ghost bump”. Happens with spam, for example, if the spam makes it through our preliminary checks and Akismet… which is thankfully rare!
