# What is captured in "Anonymous Users"?

The anonymous users number on the admin dashboard shows the number of users who have visited your site without being logged into the site. For a site that is configured to require users to login to view content, anonymous users will be users who have visited the site’s login, privacy policy, and terms of service pages.

My site is currently configured so that people can read content without logging in - only users who want to comment/like posts must log in. In this case, I assume my anonymous users number captures the number of users who visit _any public page_ on my site while not logged in?

Yup, that is correct!
