What is the best way to use the template engines of services such as Sendgrid and Sparkpost?

The suggested 3rd party email services are excellent and I would like to use their templating capabilities. This requires sending email through their APIs or by setting header values in the SMTP message. I’m guessing that there isn’t a configurable way to do this within Discourse and I was wondering what the preferred approach might be?

Sorry, I am not following. What is it you want to do? If you want to email blast a bunch of email addresses, export the user list and feed it to another service that specializes in email blasts.

I’m currently using SendGrid to send emails, and I’d like to use their template capabilities to add a header and footer to every email sent from Discourse. To do this you need to identify the template that you’d like to use. I’d like to know:

  1. Can be done through Discourse config?
  2. If not, what is the preferred approach?
