I’m new to the Discourse Meta community and have been exploring the platform recently. The more I use it, the more I notice little features that make discussions easier to follow and communities easier to manage.I’m curious, what’s one Discourse feature that you didn’t think much about at first but now use all the time? It could be something for regular users, moderators, or admins, like bookmarks, topic timers, solved topics, keyboard shortcuts, or anything else that has improved your experience. Looking forward to hearing everyone’s favorites and maybe discovering a few features I’ve overlooked!
Automation was something I simply didn’t pay much attention to until my community started requesting celebratory topics or discussions about major events. Nowadays, members actually help us create themed templates that are automatically triggered on specific dates. It might sound silly, right? But I hadn’t realized this before.
Another feature is emblems. Beyond the standard ones, you can create special customizations for special moments within the community. After nearly three years with Discourse, there’s still so much I haven’t discovered, and new features keep emerging, like #live-streaming, which I recently used for two major events in my country.
