# When a Discourse topic gets disconnected from its Wordpress post

I am facing a new issue where existing links between a Wordpress post and its Discourse thread are disappearing from Wordpress. This doesn’t affect the Discourse thread, which is still linked to the post as normal. The Wordpress post can be manually re-linked by editing it, but I’m wondering if others have experienced this also and can suggest a cause? I haven’t been able to find why this is happening.

Do you use WP Rocket, Asset CleanUp or similar? Those have tendency do tricks like that.

None of those, but thanks for the suggestion. I’ll take a look at some of my other plugins.

I second this suggestion. If you could also have a look at the [WP Discourse](https://github.com/discourse/wp-discourse) Logs and see if there are any errors.
