Ok, I was finally able to get this working. Here’s what I had to do:
- Forums are set to Invite Only
- Allow new registrations is selected
I now see why this works, but initially, it felt like these settings had some overlap. When you’re concerned about the general public NOT being able to register, it makes sense that you might get these settings wrong on the first go-round.
