# Where did the version information go?

`/admin/update` does not work in [safe mode](https://meta.discourse.org/t/53504?silent=true) because it’s provided by the docker manager plugin. While I know that you can also find the version information in the browser console, I think it should also be available to admins in the interface in case they need [safe mode](https://meta.discourse.org/t/53504?silent=true) because something is broken. It’s one of the cases where the version is quite relevant.
