Which search bar are you talking about? Do you want to install a #Customization > Theme component like [Advanced Search Banner](https://meta.discourse.org/t/search-banner/122939) or [Advanced Header Search](https://meta.discourse.org/t/header-search/194093)? ---

Then you want to install the [Advanced Search Banner](https://meta.discourse.org/t/search-banner/122939) #Customization > Theme component The settings for themes and theme components are located in the Appearance section of the admin sidebar: ![Location of components in sidebar](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/7/b/9/7b99d5e9b2f4c84708c293373312ebe3adca0322.png) There you can click Install, select “From a git repository” and add the repository link you find in the table in the topic about the component. ![Install a theme component](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/0/5/4/0541719fdbaf87207b0b9ebc7405ed1dbca8f593.png) After installing, you can change the settings and translations.
