Whitelisting an api username

(Hosein Naseri) #1

How can I let an api username to make as many api request as they want without any limitations?

I believe that the all users API key is not limited. Can you use that?

I’m using that with an admin username, However I think it is limited in terms of requesting per second and minute.
My use case is, I have implemented discourse in my application and I have thousands of users. some of the api calls exclusively need an admin username and I’m afraid the requests would be too much, much more than the limits. So I want to make an api username to request as much as possible.

So are you sure the all users api key is not limitted in terms of requests?

sorry, but I didn’t quiet get my answer. Here it is clearly said that for posting topics, there would be no limit when using an admin username. However what about creating/activating new users or sending password reset emails and these kind of things?

No, but do you have evidence to the contrary?
