# Why can't i chat with @moderators on meta?

It’s a little confusing that sending a chat message to [@moderators](https://meta.discourse.org/groups/moderators) isn’t possible. The group page says the group has 8 members, but the chat says it has 22.

I think the other users are related to the AI plugin. At least when I tried it on my forum, an AI user appeared in the name, but not in the list of members.

Of course, it’s possible to create a group chat with moderators by manually adding all the users.
