I had noticed the same thing here on my forum - a private forum. Looking at Users in the Dashboard showed a couple of users who hadn’t been on in a while but had visited on the day of the anonymous visits. These users, as @Falco said, landed on the login page. Early on when our forum was first up, we had up to 26 “anonymous” and just a few “members” shown.
