# Why does Discourse prefer footnote-style Markdown links?

@eviltrout in the spirit of the [new composer](https://meta.discourse.org/t/help-us-test-the-rewritten-composer/34679) & Markdown renderer, could this change in behaviour be thrown in? 😉
