# Why does it take so long for a topic to become deleted?

I think that [Enable setting to allow admins to permanently delete data](https://meta.discourse.org/t/enable-setting-to-allow-admins-to-permanently-delete-data/206678) has been added since this topic was created. Maybe that solves this problem.
