# Why does reply button show for closed topics?

Tl4 users and staff can post in closed topics. That is expected and not a bug.

Did you reload the page after the topic was closed? Maybe there are also users who started to reply before the topic was closed. They can still type in the composer, but they can no longer publish their draft.

To add a useful #Customization > Theme component for TL4 & Staff. This one warns them if they are replying to a closed topic
