# Why does the Discourse ID page use formal German?

Basically, informal German has been used everywhere in Discourse Interface so far. What led to the decision to do things differently here?

Similarly, “Community” is usually translated as Community and not as “Gemeinschaft.”

I’m interested in why you chose to use wordings that are not consistent with the usual forum interface.
