# Waarom wordt het onderwerp bovenaan gezet bij het wijzigen van de eigenaar

Amazingly, this request goes back to 2017:

Sadly, there was no response there.

I believe the reason for this is that changing the ownership counts as an edit to the topic post. IIRC if there are replies then the topic won’t bump, only those topics with the topic posts and no replies bump.

I suppose you could hide the edit and reset bump date? Not 100% sure if that’ll work, though.
