# Why is the flag icon now hidden?

We upgraded to the latest version of discourse, and one of our members immediately noticed that the flag icon is now hidden behind the ellipse.
The ability to flag is one of the most powerful ability of discourse, and one of the reasons we migrated over to it, so I was wondering why the icon is now hidden behind the ellipse, making it another step to have to flag?

if you have a look in the Admin settings, Basic Setup - you have the following:
post menu
post menu hidden items
If you remove the flag option from post menu hidden items it will show again

FYI we decided to hide the flag icon by default based on the usage we’ve seen on all the Discourses we monitor (and we monitor a lot of them ;)).
Like @mikechristopher said, it’s only a setting change away to get it back in.
