# Why is there no description topic for Uncategorized?

Any good reason why I’m not even allowed to create a topic and pin it to have a description for it if I so please?

I tend to think of uncategorized like null rather than its own category … so not sure how one could actually describe it.

On my forum I renamed it to “Everything else”. I deal with novice users who might not be familiar with the concept of categories, so I put up this description:

> If you’re unsure what category you should put your new post in, just add it here. We can easily move it for you if we find a better place for it.

For our forum we renamed it as well. It’s the default category since it will get used the most. How do we add an “About…” description to it? There’s no button like there is with other categories:
