# Why isn’t the ‘create category’ option appearing?

How come I don’t see the buttons to create new categories?

I should have admin access too

It looks like you’re a Moderator on that forum, rather than an Admin. By default, category and group management are admin abilities, though they can be enabled for moderators using the `moderators manage categories and groups` admin setting (though this would need an admin to enable).
