# Why not make "create a new topic" edit screen to a full screen?

Why not make “create a new topic” screen to a full screen, left and right column, or upper and lower style?
This would be convenient to preview the content and scroll less.

You can resize the editor however you like by dragging it. This size preferences is remembered in your browser.

There is a “make full screen” button and shortcut in the editor now.
@johani I can’t remember where we left this – but it should be a default theme component for all Discourse instances?

We don’t have a precedent at the moment for bundling theme components in brand new installs. This would be a first so we would need to establish a new pattern. Existing installs would miss out.
Simplest path forward would be folding this into core, then people can hide with CSS if they don’t want it
