# Will users recieve notifications in anonymous mode?

Hi, Will the user receive any notification if someone replied to the anonymous question?

The anonymous account gets reply notifications, but not the ‘real’ user behind that account.

Meaning as long as they are still logged in. Is that correct?

There’s an admin setting `anonymous account duration minutes` which will allow you to swop between your regular account and the same anonymous account for that amount of time. After that time, entering anonymous mode will generate a new anon account, which will only get their own notifications.
