# Word Translation / Censorship

I’d like to create a few censored words , and replace / translate them with various fun words or phrases that discourage users from engaging in certain negative speech. For example,

I’d like to replace “bad word” with “I AM A MISOGYNIST”

Is this possible with discourse?

It would require a plugin or theme, nothing built-in.

What you could do is automatically flag stuff with bad words and then edit it yourself. Or just straight out block the bad words.

I actually want to add a replace option to Watched Words but it is low pri.

This should be fairly straightforward to do by modifying the autolinkify theme component. Might be super fun to create The Good Place theme, I might give it a try during Christmas. ☀
