# Would it be possible to have category page style as a profile option?

There is an admin option for what kind of category page to have: categories only, categories and top, categories and latest etc.

There is a profile option for what home page you want: latest, top, categories, new, etc.

Would it be possible to let users choose which kind of category page they want? Either to have it as a separate choice for the home page option, or as a distinct option. So someone could choose to only show categories on the front page, and someone else could choose categories and new posts.

It’s not possible in Discourse at the moment. I’m not sure that there has been much demand for it either, so it’s not likely to happen soon unless someone wants to build a plugin for it.
