Yes, the wp-discourse plugin specifies a required username on the D instance, and an optional category where the discussions will fall in.
As with the username, the category must exist and be active (must edit the category definition) for the plugin to work.
I have just tested this on my test setup. However, I have not looked into the plugin yet to modify it for my needs, so don’t know where it does it.
please keep us posted and tell us if that code gives any clue as to where we could insert the category selection in the embedding code.
I think many of use are trying to import our blog post comments into different categories but without success so far.
