# Wrong link on confirmation email

Hello,
I’m having an issue with a discourse instalation. We had to change the OS so we had to reinstall Discourse, and then restore the backup. It’s running on the same server/ip/hostname.
The issue we have is with the url sent in the confirmation email, for new accounts or password change.
We get an `https://email.domain.com/`… instead of `https://forum.domain.com/`…
We are using the same smtp with the same settings, and it was working fine before the reinstall.
Any hint on where I can find the setting that is causing this?

Which mail provider are you using?
Any chance you’ve enabled click tracking?

Hi Stephen,
it was indeed a tracking issue. It was working before 'cause we had some configurations on our old dns. Anyway I disabled tracking 🙂
