# YouTube link format doesn't work with ...watch?v=... format

On my Discourse, if I include a YouTube video by using the Share link it embeds, but if I just take the URL of the video it doesn’t… for the same video.

e.g. the Pixar short “Lifted”  
This works:  
https:// youtu.be/LVLoc6FrLi0

but this doesn’t  
https:// www.youtube. com/watch?v=LVLoc6FrLi0

_NB: I’ve inserted spaces in the above links to stop meta.discourse converting them._

I notice the same problem does not happen here on meta.discourse. Any suggestions?
