Started doing online communities with a 2 line Wildcat back in 19…err a long time ago. Usenet back when you could propagate it with a suitcase full of tapes, the original Matt’s script, building a private NNTP service with the Deja front end, bunches of all those php flavored boards before getting out of the for profit online community/dot com/Web 2.0 business in the early 2000s. My strengths aren’t so much app dev but data center ops, db, sys admin, deployment, nuts and bolts plumbing. Since then I contribute to places that cater to my other interests, building race cars, restoring classic cars, open source hardware and software.
