How can I get “Category” and “Latest” as their own columns in a two column layout as seen below?
And how can I get announcement blocks across the top?
Is there a way to tell if there is a theme the below example is based off?
User nmoore is seeking help to achieve a two-column layout with “Category” and “Latest” columns, as well as announcement blocks across the top, similar to the Auth0 community layout.
nmoore also inquired about identifying the theme used in the example.
featheredtoast suggested using the “Categories and Latest Topics” setting for the desktop category page style to achieve the two-column layout. For featured topics, featheredtoast provided a link to a meta Discourse topic.
Moin recommended a plugin, Global-Notice-Cards, for announcement blocks across the top. To identify the theme, Moin suggested inspecting the page source.
osioke elaborated on Moin’s suggestion, explaining how to find the theme name in the page source by searching for data-theme-name.
Two column layouts is the category view, using the desktop category page style setting set to “Categories and Latest Topics”.
As for the featured topics, something similar to this may be what you’re looking for:
