Discourse icon too small, other icons (e.g. chat) is not the same size

AI-generated summary

NateDhaliwal reports that the Discourse logo appears significantly smaller than other icons (such as Chat, Search, and profile pictures) when the browser window is resized to its minimum width in “pop-up view.” awesomerobot questions the utility of this browsing method, noting that such narrow widths are rarely tested. ondrej clarifies that Nate is likely referring to the Samsung Galaxy “Pop-up View” feature, providing a link to Samsung’s support documentation. NateDhaliwal confirms this is the correct context, acknowledging that while it is not the primary way to browse, he expects the interface icons to be more responsive to screen size changes.

When resizing the Chrome window to the least width in pop-up view, the Discourse logo is tiny, whereas the other icons like Chat, Search, the sidebar button and the profile picture.
They should all be of equal size.

what is this pop-up view? how do you browse this way? we can take a look but it seems this width is narrower than we typically test Discourse so it’s not surprising that the experience isn’t great

I believe Nate is referring to this. I assume thay they have a Samsung because it looks very similar on my S23+. I very rarely use it on my Samsung device.

Yup, exactly, while I realise that this is not the best way to browse, I would have thought that the icons would be a bit more responsive with the size of the screen.
