Ci sono impostazioni IMAP nelle Impostazioni e-mail. A cosa servono? Vorrei usare IMAP con il mio server Postfix self-hosted, ma pensavo fosse supportato solo il polling POP3. Di cosa si tratta?

IMAP support for group inboxes

I’d like to announce that sadly, we are going to be sunsetting IMAP support in Discourse. Neither we nor any of our customers use this, and the functionality has always been alpha-stage since release, with no further plans for future support. We will be doing this within the next few months. If it proves easy enough, we will split out the functionality into an unsupported plugin for self-hosters, otherwise we will have no choice but to remove it completely from the codebase. Is there a way to use IMAP instead of POP3 for replies by email?

The easiest thing to do is Configure direct-delivery incoming email for self-hosted sites with Mail-Receiver It’s much easier than maintaining an IMAP server anyway.
