I’m finding it very unclear as to how to install and setup AI on a self hosted forum. Is there any more clear step by step guide?

What feature do you want to enable first? And what LLM do you want to use?

How do I install and use OpenAI instead of a self hosted AI?

First you install the plugin following Install plugins on a self-hosted site with GitHub - discourse/discourse-ai: Discourse AI now lives in the discourse/discourse repo · GitHub Then you configure an OpenAI LLM as Configure API Keys for OpenAI
