Expanded markdown tables can't be interacted with

AI-generated summary

Stephen reports a bug where checkboxes within expanded markdown tables are unresponsive. While checklists function normally in standard views, the expanded table view renders the checkboxes inert, preventing user interaction. sam indicates that this issue is addressed in pull request #43036. After the fix is applied, Stephen confirms the initial interaction works but notes a new bug: subsequent interactions fail, such as clicking a second checkbox or unchecking the first one, indicating the fix is incomplete.

The combination of checklists and markdown tables has been incredibly useful, with one exception. When using the expanded view on a wider table, the checkboxes can’t be interacted with.

To repro, the checkboxes below can be used until you click expand, the expanded table is inert.

Awesome, thanks @sam

Hey @sam - it works, but only for the first interaction. If I expand the above table I can click a single checkbox, a second click of another checkbox, or if I try to un-check the first then it fails.
