Hi, can anybody tell me how to set my homepage view to show categories and the latest posts? I couldn’t seem to find it in the settings. My head hurts. Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome @Cate_Soule  I think it’s a combination of the settings mentioned above. To set your homepage as /categories go to the top menu admin setting and move ‘categories’ to the top of the ordering. You can then chose what style the categories page is using Desktop category page style (and Mobile category page style). Hopefully that helps.

Hi, It’s the Desktop category page style or Mobile category page style setting

I think when you create your discourse forum as well you should be able to see what to set your homepage to

@Cate_Soule have you checked out the following pages in your admin dashboard appearance>navigation or interface & layout >top menu these pages may be helpful for your situation if not try the main ones of these pages

[image] Showing a list of the lastest topics alongside the categories Support I wondered if anyone knew how Roblox has their discourse set up? Specifically the list of the latest topics from a category to the right of it. Is this a feature I missed or something custom they’ve done? Thank you! [Screenshot 2024-11-19 at 3.41.10 AM] Go to your site’s admin panel. Search for the setting called desktop category page style. Set this to Categories with featured topics – this displays the list of your categories along with the latest topics on each, similar to what you see on Meta and many communities.

no, it doesn’t change anything

Hmm I don’t actually think it can be edited after you made the forum

tried it by going to [domain].com/wizard, nothing is there

[image] Cate_Soule: Both are set to Categories + Latest Topics, but my homepage is still redirecting to Latest Posts only. It’s likely that your homepage default is controlled by the top_menu site setting. Here’s how to fix it: Go to your site settings and search for top menu. Make sure the first item in the list is categories (e.g. categories|latest|new|unread…). Discourse uses the first entry in this list as your homepage. If latest is first, it will always load the “Latest” page by default. After updating, save changes and reload your homepage.
