We’re moving away from the legacy “widget” rendering system, replacing it with modern Glimmer components. We’ve recently modernized the post stream using Glimmer components. This guide will walk you through migrating your plugins and themes from the old widget-based system to the new Glimmer implem…

The Glimmer Post Stream is enabled on Meta. If you discover any issues, please post them below.

During upgrading my components, I encountered some strange code: app/assets/javascripts/discourse/app/components/post/avatar.gjs 0ccf792b9 <UserAvatarFlair @user={{@post}} /> <div> <PluginOutlet @name="post-avatar-flair" …

[이미지] pangbo: Firstly, I am somewhat perplexed by @user={{@post}}. Could this be a typographical error? It’s working, so I don’t think it’s a typo. Perhaps in this location, the post object has all the attributes which the UserAvatarFlair component expects to find on the @user argument? I agr…

We have just merged a pull request that enables the Glimmer Post Stream by default. After the next update, compatible sites will automatically use the new Post Stream. After testing I turned off the overrides as it seems they are not recommended fo…

https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/35504 When you next update your Discourse installation, the Glimmer Post Stream will now be enabled by default even for sites that still have incompatible customizations. In fact, the entire widget rendering system will now be disabled, so any widget-bas…

The option under experimental settings quite clearly warns against using it: Enable the new ‘glimmer’ post stream implementation in ‘auto’ mode for the specified user groups. This implementation is under active development, and is not intended for production use. Do not develop themes/plugins agai…
