Generally speaking the policy of the WP Discourse plugin is to have very minimal styles and styling as there is such a wide variety of different approaches to Wordpress styles and theming. If you what you’ve done is add a new style setting, as opposed to incorporated new styles and styling specific to your site, then that might be ok
