ばこん introduced the Glacier Theme, a modern Discourse theme supporting dark mode and inspired by the Horizon theme. The initial release included previews and installation guides, though the developer noted it was still under development.
Users quickly provided feedback on layout issues. 祁同伟 and Canapin reported excessive spacing between navigation elements and content being off-center on wide screens. ばこん addressed the width issue, while DevTeVe and others identified Safari and Chrome Android bugs where added borders hindered usability, which were subsequently fixed by ばこん. Further requests from Ngoc_Nguyen and asa regarding wide screen spacing led ばこん to make the spacing configurable in settings.
A significant mobile bug was reported by DevTeVe, where the chat input disappeared when the keyboard hid, specifically when the welcome banner was active. After some troubleshooting and a private forum invite, ばこん confirmed the fix. The developer also revised the topic design ばこん and fixed a broken margin adjustment setting reported by 祁同伟.
Later, 祁同伟 requested a “New Topic” button in the top-left corner similar to Horizon. ばこん implemented this feature, along with the ability to hide the top-right button on desktops and customize button text. A final bug where the new topic button failed to open the post screen on mobile was resolved by ばこん. The discussion concluded with a minor aesthetic tweak to shadow colors in light mode ばこん.

It is still under development and the design may change significantly with updates.
This theme was inspired by the Horizon theme.
There is a large empty space between the topic and time navigation, which we hope can be optimized.

There’s a new bug report though… Only seems to happen on safari for mobile devices, there’s added borders that make it hard to actually use it nicely. Doesn’t seem to happen on other devices. It’s also replicable on MacOS, so it’s a safari thing.

Another bug reported is that the “chat” input disappears when you type and hide the keyboard once (and in my video you basically can see the input dissappears even when i type)
only seems to happen when welcome banner is in use.
Comparing it with Horizon Theme, I see that the welcome banner is not visible on my phone, could it be that the problem?
I’ve tested this on my systems (Windows, Android) and haven’t encountered the issue. It may be isolated to iOS.
Android was seen too, but you need the welcome banner enabled , see how on the video you see the “welcome back, search” box ? In foundation I don’t have that when on mobile
