Got an issue
I joined my friends new forum using a guide i made for them.
And well

every single topic i posted and reply i made i saw this

and yadda yadda basically saying my post is hidden then i gotta call on a moderator

as at the time both the owner and mod werent around
That’s what happens if the akismet key is invalid.
I was supplying Akismet to some clients until recently and failed to turn it off on (at least) one site and that’s what happened.. So they need to disable akisment and then get a working key or get the AI Spam plugin working.

Check the configuration of the AI spam scanner at /admin/plugins/discourse-ai/ai-spam — the admin can update the instructions there and ask it to be more forgiving. The default spam persona can be sensitive if there a lot of posts that appear unrelated or random in the topic…

I’m not certain what you see if you hit the “fast typing threshold” – but you might check these settings:
It’s meant to catch spammers that sign up just to paste some content. Maybe you pasted material or just typed a couple of words..?
The fundamental thing is that if humans are on the forum just posting stuff that highly resembles spam you are going to need to adjust the custom prompt in the admin section to be extremely lax.
If people are just chatting back and forth why not simply use Discourse chat?

Curious about “adjust the custom prompt” – is this a setting for Akismet or Discourse AI spam detection? (I have neither.)

See i never actually understood a user must type for their first post does that mean i need to spend at least 1 milliosecond typing? becuase if so how can you not meet it?
The description of the setting says:
Low is 1 second, standard is 3 seconds, high is 5 seconds.
So, 1 millisecond won’t be enough. By default, it’s 3 seconds. It protects the forum from users posting spam that they paste into the composer. It can also affect users who use a translator and paste the result.
The description has a small issue: milliseconds is probably the measurement the code uses, but that’s irrelevant to us because it’s translated to seconds. What matters is “Low is 1 second, standard is 3 seconds, high is 5 seconds.”
