Sithys_Mahony wants to integrate his Discourse board into his WordPress page to create a seamless user experience. He aims to replace the content section of his WordPress theme with his Discourse board.
Falco suggests matching the styles and fonts of both sites to create a unified feel, but notes that using Discourse inside an iframe is not supported.
Sithys_Mahony mentions that he is using a complete template from tagDiv, which might limit his options.
pfaffman recommends using the wp-discourse plugin to embed comments into WordPress, although users will still be redirected to Discourse to create comments. He also provides a link to a workaround for hosting Discourse in a subfolder of the site.
Hey Guys,
as i’m just working on a new blog, i’d like to try out discourse instead of bbpress or woltlab inside it. So i set it up and tried it out a little bit and yes, i like it. So for simplicity i’d like to totaly integrate discourse inside my wordpress page. I have a standard theme with a header, and a sidemenu and now i’d like to replace the content section with my discourse board. I don’t want the users to “leave” my site when they enter and discuss inside a board.
Is this possible with discourse? And if yes, how could i get this working?
