Api Call Returns Nothing When Too Many Requests

A user, hnaseri, is experiencing issues with the Discourse API, where it returns nothing when making too many requests. Despite increasing max user api reqs per minute/day, the problem persists.

sam suggests adding a section to the app.yml file to increase the rate limits:

params:
  reqs_per_second: 12
  burst_per_second: 12
  reqs_per_minute: 200
  burst_per_minute: 100

However, it is unclear if this solution is still valid, as DDo has recently encountered a similar issue with API calls, receiving a “Slow down, too Many Requests from this IP Address” response.

sam points to a meta post for documentation on current rate limits, which may help resolve the issue.

I want to get a list of topic with api calls and show their average rating in my android app but I cant get more than about 36 topic at once and the api return empty if I go more than that. I tried to increase max user api reqs per minute/day but it didn’t help.

Is there any other rate limits that I need to increase?

I have found the following file. Is it related to my problem? and if it is, How should I increase the limit here?

Add the following section into your app.yml

params:
  reqs_per_second: 12
  burst_per_second: 12
  reqs_per_minute: 200
  burst_per_minute: 100

Edit to taste.

@hnaseri Did that fix your issues?

@sam 그 해결책이 여전히 유효한가요?
API 호출을 통해 사용자를 생성하고 그룹에 추가했는데, 지금은 "Slow down, too Many Requests from this IP Address"라는 응답을 받고 있습니다.
